Story
About Us
Although we both have considered ourselves artists our whole lives, we only recently discovered oil painting.
Inspired by a rerun of Bob Ross, we gave oil painting a shot. Immediately, we fell in love with oil painting, and we soon began painting every chance we got. After about a year of following episodes of The Joy of Painting, we branched out and began working on paintings from our own imaginations.
We are continually learning, growing, and hopefully encouraging others to embrace their inner artist.
Johanna Zimmerman

From an early age Johanna has been inspired by the scenic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Taking long road trips each Summer with her family to Hansville, Washington left an indelible impression on her imagination.
Her work reflects the intersection between her imagination and these experiences.
Luke Nelson
Artist, musician, and co-founder Healing Trees Art
Spontaneity and improvisation mark Luke’s style. He enjoys exploring as he composes, Letting intuition guide his artistic decisions.
The moment is where the potency of art emerges. The feelings, impressions, and sensations one feels in a moment can contain multitudes.
Luke's work attempts harness this power to draw the viewer in and take them on a journey of discovery.
